A Pivotal Moment For Humanity

The very idea of what plays out before us should be enough to alarm anyone. That is, if a large segment of our country hadn’t surrendered their cognitive reasoning and comprehension abilities to a hateful and demonstrative president, all for the promised reward of being able to open-faced hate anyone they disagree with, namely trans women, immigrants, cisgender women, and black people. We’ve been expected to take these tech-bro oligarchs at their word, that the things they or their companies have been doing are not only doing the things they are telling us about, but that the reasoning behind any of it is something meant as an overall positive thing for society.

Making world changing decisions and acting upon them from a position of feelings rather than intelligent reasoning probably comes second nature to the MAGA types who also voted this way. Not so much for the rest of us.

The rich keep getting richer.

We’ve been conditioned by those at the helm of government to believe that these artificial intelligence systems are being developed to benefit society. But let’s take a more pragmatic look at all of this.

Who owns these corporations developing AI?

It’s common knowledge that these large corporations are owned by the most powerful and wealthy people in the world. Tech oligarchs. These people have never been philanthropic in the past, so what makes anyone believe they are going to be now?

What I’m getting at here is this fairy tale fiction we’ve all been fed. The rich have always done their level best to make themselves richer and grow their power. The instance of artificial intelligence is no different.

AI Data Centers are monuments to plutocracy.

Throughout history, the ruling class has always built monuments to solidify their dominance. In the past, plutocrats have built palaces, cathedrals, and lofty skyscrapers from which to look down upon us from. In our current timeline, the tech elite build massive windowless concrete monoliths sprawling across hundreds of acres of land, utilizing water, monopolizing electricity, all while occupying farmland once used for a much more humanistic purpose. These structures serve as monuments to the greed of those who own them, and they do so in numerous ways.

  1. Monuments to Resource Monopoly

    • Building an AI data center requires an extreme amount of capital resources. Only a very small faction of people in our society possess these means.

    • The Cost: A single top tier AI cluster now costs upwards of $100 billion to build and equip with advanced microchips

    • The Power Grid: These centers consume entire gigawatts of electricity - sometimes requiring their own dedicated nuclear power plants

    • Sequestered Priority: They are physical proof that the plutocrats can divert a nation’s collective energy, water, and land away from the public good to fuel their own private infrastructure, and ultimately, their wallets.

2. Monuments to the Enclosure of Human Knowledge

  • In a literal sense, these structures are tombs for the collective output of humanity

  • To train AI, these technocrats have scraped the internet, digitizing centuries of human art, literature, scientific research, and casual conversations

  • By pulling all of that open information into proprietary data centers, the tech oligarchy has effectively enclosed human knowledge, locking it behind a corporate paywall. The data center is the physical vault holding that stolen collective history.

‍ ‍3. Monuments to Sovereign Independence

  • Because of their immense wealth, these tech plutocrat owners often operate outside the bounds of any single nation’s laws. As this AI expansion continues, this scenario will increase.

  • By owning the data infrastructure that entire economies rely on, these tech oligarchs hold a form of digital sovereignty that rival the authority being held by actual governments. This is the key reality right here of what this future begins to look like. All forms and functions of human existence have been fully integrated with AI. These tech plutocrats own the infrastructure it relies on to function, so they can decide the fates entire nations or civilizations by setting the flow or narrative of information, financial market influence or even availability, commodity pricing or availability, shipping, automation of jobs, controls of power grids, water treatment, crop irrigation, and so on for infinity. From the most wide spread and culture changing aspects of our society right down to the individual information searches we do for ourselves online. They would have control of all of it, and already to a profound degree, already do.

Knowledge Is Power ‍ ‍

History has often been told to us from the mouths of the victors, not necessarily truthful to what in fact happened. The winners feed the narrative they want you to believe. This happens when someone controls all of the knowledge. We have seen this in the past, and it happens again right now. Those who possess the real power will be those who have the knowledge locked up inside these algorithmic fortresses, also having become the gatekeepers of it from being the owners of the vehicle it is effectuated with. This gives these tech oligarchs the ability to act as “God” on earth.

‍ ‍ ‍”The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away.”

This old phrase comes to mind when we see the truth of this immense power being possessed here by these wealthy few. They control the means to change worlds and override governments. This is if the AI is regulated and kept in check. Unchecked AI would take that power itself.

Owners of AI companies and data centers must be regulated at the same time as their AI’s, or a plutocracy of unimaginable magnitude will result, and ultimately be our demise. Being of sound mind and clear observation of what I’ve seen spiraling out of control already, it would be in the best interest of humanity and our continued existence to shut ALL AI down until it can be safely used, regulated, and used to benefit all of society.
